Player Code of Conduct
I understand that a condition of being a registered Player of the Langwarrin Junior Football Club is that I am required to maintain a standard of behaviour and conduct that is in the best interests of the Club and the game of Australian Rules Football.

- Read, follow and adhere to the Rules and Policies of the Club and the Frankston and District Football League.
- Agree that as physical violence in any form against team-mates, opposition players or other people is unacceptable, I will not participate in such behaviour.
- Take responsibility to ensure that all online communications including all social media (such as facebook, instagram, Snapchat, TeamApp) are in keeping with the club’s expectations in relation to appropriate and respectful interactions with officials, coaches, umpires, players, parents/guardians, spectators and sponsors. I will not post inappropriate comments about individuals, players, club or league officials which if said in person during the playing of a game would result in disciplinary action being taken.
- At all times, put the Club and my Team before my individual needs.
- Always respect and demonstrate that respect to Club Officials, Coaches, Parents/Guardians, Team-mates, and all representatives of sponsors and the Frankston and District Football League, Umpires and opposing Clubs.
- Respect that the Umpire is always right and will accept their decisions at all times .
- Refrain from swearing or using abusive language prior to, during or after a game.
- Display good sportsmanship when playing or training.
- Avoid criticism of the efforts of team-mates and will always encourage and applaud the endeavour of my team mates.
- Treat all players as you would like to be treated. Do not interfere with, bully or take unfair advantage of any other player whether from your team or another team.
- Participate in as many training sessions and matches as possible.
- Be on time on match days and to training.
- Play and train to the best of my ability at all times so to fully develop the skills of the game and to support my Coach and team mates.
- Advise team officials if I am unable to attend training sessions or matches .
- Talk to the coach or other team officials regarding any issues that may be of concern to me or the team throughout the season.
- Inform the Team Manager immediately of any injury that I sustain during training or during the game on match day. If I have an injury which is not sustained during training or playing on match day, I will inform my Team Manager.
- Understand and respect that I am a member of a team and that at times, I may be asked to carry out tasks associated with team rules that may not be the result of actions undertaken by myself.
- Vaping/Smoking inside LJFC premises will not be tolerated and I understand that penalties may apply.
- I/We understand that failure to follow the Club Code of Conduct will result in penalties being imposed by the Coach or Club. The penalties depend on the severity of the breach of the code of conduct in the form on bench time, missing the rest of the game or the loss of one or more games. If the offence is repeated or a serious breach of the code of conduct, the matter will be referred to the club disciplinary committee (which consists of the club executive) and may jeopardise my membership of the Club.

Parent/Guardian and Supporter Code of Conduct
The Langwarrin Junior Football Club has developed a Parent/Guardian and Supporter Code of Conduct to ensure that everyone at the club understands his or her obligations. It is a requirement that every parent/guardian and or supporter is made aware of the Code of Conduct to acknowledge the understanding of the Code and their commitment to comply with the code.

* By registering our child with the Langwarrin Junior Football Club we agree to abide by these principles. We will ensure that our child understands the expected behaviour of a LJFC player. We support the LJFC in its undertaking and encourage the LJFC to take any necessary disciplinary actions including the suspension and banning where warranted of any players, parents/guardians and/or supporters for repeated or serious breaches of these Codes of Conduct.
I declare that I will:

- Always remember that you are there for the participants (players and officials) to enjoy the Game.
- To encourage participation, but don’t enforce it.
- To always teach that enjoyment is better than winning.
- Never ridicule mistakes or losses – supporters are there to support not belittle.
- Always lead by example and respect all players, coaches, umpires and other spectators – physical or verbal abuse will not be tolerated.
- Always be aware and recognise that all volunteers are giving up their valuable time.
- Never publicly criticise umpires, coaches and officials – raise your concerns with Club officials in private.
- Take responsibility to ensure that all online communications, including all social media (such as facebook, instagram, Snapchat, TeamApp) are in keeping with the club’s expectations in relation to appropriate and respectful interactions with officials, coaches, umpires, players, parents/guardians, spectators and sponsors. - Don’t use ugly remarks based on race, religion, gender or ability – you’ll let down your coach, teammates and family if you do, and many such comments are actually illegal.
- Consumption of Alcohol inside Lloyd Park or any FDJFL / SEJ / MPJFL junior club venue or grounds during game day times will not be tolerated and I understand that penalties may apply.
- Vaping or Smoking inside Lloyd Park Club rooms and surrounding buildings or any FDJFL / SEJ / MPJFL junior club venue during game day times will not be tolerated and I understand that penalties may apply.
